SPRING/SUMMER 16 COLLECTION REPORT – KIDS

 

Four trends make up our Kids Spring Summer 16 collection; Rebel Pack, Caravansary, Marooned and Jungle provide a responsive collection full of detail and character – whatever their style, we’ve got kids covered.

 

It’s time to get tough, boys, as fashion collides with the outsiders to create Rebel Pack.  Inspired by the classic skate culture, this range is full of playful, boyish attitude.

 

It’s a little more relaxed for girls with a vibrant theme full of boho, hippy and gypsy flavours as they are invited to travel the ancient Silk Road with our Caravansary theme.  Inspired by the large gatherings of traveling traders who gathered to rest and exchange cultures as they made their way along the trade routes, Moroccan and Asian influences create a range that’s perfect for long summer days and nights, full of young fun and laughter.

 

Beautiful deep lagoon blues, shells and tropical birds – the paradise of a desert island – Marooned brings a shipwrecked element to the collection with the inspiring graphics and prints that kids love.

 

And in tribute to the ever popular floral trend, which appears across every type of garment this season, Jungle injects a vintage Hawaiian feel, full of stunning greens and photographic prints of exotic plants, leaves and flowers.

 

BOYS

The boardshorts range shows off all the novelties of the themes brilliantly; a strong black and white base is brought to life with rebellious, defiantly contrasting bright colours, prints and groovy designs for boys. Colour blocking is combined with tropical scenes, leaves, stripes and stars. Daydream the details of your next exciting road trip with the super-cool, all-over map print design – and you’re sure to catch whatever you’re chasing in these breezy, tropical bad boys – both styles tie in with the T-shirts range.

 

A huge focus on T-shirts means the boys collection translates well from the men’s range – Tees are much more grown up and trendy with extra design details such as icon prints and contrasting pockets. Rebel Pack tees have a tougher and more edgy worked-out look.

 

Denim rolled up shorts and indigo washed joggers are paired with more detailed, fashionable, crewneck sweatshirts and hoodies with funky all-over prints.

 

Jackets have a sporty feel with a sponge style and a soft shell/padded combo. And of course, a cool kids collection wouldn’t be complete without a classic, café racer style bomber.

 

GIRLS

After the major success of Mix & Match last season we’ve created two style themes – bold monochrome with neon poppy highlights and a stunning Hawaiian tropical print – both with two tops and bottoms in each.

 

The Teens bikini range was so well received that we’ve extended the collection to include even more styles. Subtle padding for older girls creates a more grown up range including a bandeau with detachable straps. Knotting, twisting, fringing and braiding – you name it! It’s there – including new ruffled fabrics for improved look and feel.

 

Continuing with our style stories the bikini prints lead the way and translate across t-shirts, dresses and tunics.  Tank tops, vests and shorts have lace and crochet detail and super-trendy, washed denim beach pants have an all over print.

 

Playsuits and jumpsuits match the swimwear prints and burnout joggers make having fun ultra-casual and cool. Ethnic, jungle, stars, stripes and animal prints are featured throughout the collection, providing endless choice and flexibility.

 

TODDLERS

For the little ones, boys have three shorts in funky stripes, photo print and stars – girls have three bikinis in cute stripes and dots – and a striking logo printed rashguard for both, for the ultimate UV protection.

PROTEST WAS FOUNDED BY A SMALL GROUP OF SNOWBOARDERS IN HOLLAND

 

That’s right: Holland. One of the flattest places in the universe. Home to exactly five hills and fourteen waves. That’s right: We counted the number of hills and waves and we said, “To hell with logic, To hell with obstacles – Let’s do what we love.” Since day one, we’ve been doing our part to make the world a better place for boarders – Both on the slopes and in the water. We do this by designing fashionable and functional boardwear at an affordable price. By reminding the world that boarding is fun. And by helping people overcome whatever stands between them and their boards.

 

PROTEST IS A BRAND FOR ANYONE WITH THE DESIRE TO SET FOOT ON A BOARD.

 

A fresh perspective for all boarders. The beginners who aren’t quite sure if they’ve got what it takes. The masters who may have forgotten the pure joy of the ride. The cynics who have had millions of ads pushed down their throats. The workaholics with too many responsibilities and too little time. We remind riders of the reason they set foot on a board in the first place – to have fun! And we inspire non-boarders with our belief that everyone can have a great time on the _slopes or on the waves. Our clothes are built to support core riders. But they are also aimed at people who simply want to have fun on a board and look good doing it. Our goal is to make our clothes accessible to as many boarders as possible.

For the core boarder and newcomer alike, our fully functional boardwear reflects the latest trends in styles and colours. We believe in keeping a strong focus on details: materials, zippers, applications, embroideries, stitchings, fabrics, textures, finishes and washes. This is what gives our range a rich and exclusive look. Our two main collections are Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter. Each collection features a Mens and Womens line, as well as a Boys and Girls line. The summer collection features a full range of highly stylish swimwear along with a series of more technical boardshorts. In Spring and Fall, we deliver full lines of streetwear. In Winter, our heritage as a snowboard brand is on full display when we deliver our fully functional boardwear.

 

DESIGN IS THE FUEL THAT KEEPS PROTEST RUNNING

 

Our design team includes sixteen designers with international backgrounds in sports and fashion. In addition, we have a global network that includes international fashion gurus and innovative partners from the fashion and textile industry who enable us to work with state-of- the-art technology and the latest fashion trends. Each season, we use input from Tokyo to New York to create the latest fashion-forward designs. Our designs include the use of new construction techniques and fabric technology developments Including highly waterproof and breathable fabrics. These innovations not only provide full functionality and protection but also incorporate and add to the latest trends and styles around the world.
