The Icelandic Tale

The Mini A Ture children are excited about their next adventure, in the mysterious setting of one the world’s most magical places, Iceland.

Nature is the source of all the detail throughout this journey. The island is filled with hot springs, aquamarine pools and rugged cliffs. Volcanoes and geysers have left their mark on the scorched earth. As the burning lava makes its way down the landscape, settling in soft dark pillows along the way, it melts into the snow-capped mountains and serves as a rough contrast to the cold and ancient layers of snow beneath.

Acrid sulphur stains the ground in shades of yellow and orange and the Northern Lights put on a resplendent display of greens, blue and purple. Steam rising from the geysers blur the horizon and makes you wonder what lies beyond. There is air of mystery in this fairytale environment, as the sense of history surrounds you.

The children look out beyond the cliffs and spot a pod of whales leaping out of the icy ocean beneath them! As they descend the mountain, the terrain dramatically begins to change. The snow and ice begin to melt and the children find themselves in a moss-filled forest with wild horses and other wild animals running by. They cam easily imagine fairies, elves, goblins and even a troll living in this fairytale land!  

The colours are as deep and intense as the environment around them: there are shades of red, purple and rose which are contrasted with blue, green and brown.
