Our Story

Until a very short time ago Turkish mothers who had newborn babies would take a cloth which is called Tulbent from the district bazaar and purl the edges of the cloth for the care of their babies. Pinkblue Baby’s founder Ayşe Yeşil’s dear grandmother also inlaced the sides of these cloths she bought from the bazaar of Çanakkale and Ayşe used these soft cloths for her first daughter’s care. The most important feature of Tulbent is that it is woven with a technique that lets the fabric breath. Tulbent gets softer after each wash,it is stain-resistant, long-lasting and dries very quickly.In 2010, when her second daughter was born, Ayşe couldn’t find these cloths that she thinks are indispensable for baby care. She found five or six cloths among the old stuff that came to her aid but they were not enough. In Germany where she went to visit Kind und Jugend fair for business purposes, she was surprised when she came across to blankets, facecloths and other baby care products that were called muslin because of its resemblance to the Turkish .Tulbent. After this trip of Ayşe’s where she met with muslin and swaddle, with the belief that this fabric could be produced with a better quality and endurance, the brand Pratikanne (means practical mother in English) was born.

The brand Pratikanne became ’Momeasy’ with the demand coming from the overseas market. This cloth was enriched with the patterns of Ayşe Celem, Turkey’s one of most known designers in order to make this traditional looking cloth with traditional colour more suitable for the styles of today’s modern mothers. While choosing the designs, it was aimed that each pattern would have its own story and it also would have motifs that introduce Turkey.

Now, after almost 5 years since Ayse’s first encounter with muslin, there are thousands of Momeasy babies and moms around the globe. What makes us most happiest are the emails, reviews and posts of Momeasy moms where see and feel the satisfaction of moms whose life became more comfortable and easy with Momeasy muslin
products. This satisfaction and interest encourage us for new products of our beloved muslin. With the support of mothers, Momeasy is now becoming a global brand with our slogan coming from our heart ’Made in Turkey with love’.
